Topic 6: Who's Running the Show?

The form of the business organization that PAS runs on is a sole proprietorship, but has formed a partnership with another group. I have no idea of the history behind the development of PAS, but I would say that Pamela has formed this school with her own money, and funds from other people who supports her ideas and causes as well as partaking an interest in an international education. The group Pamela has created a partnership with is the School Board of Education. The liability of PAS is limited. If the school were to fail; Pamela cannot be held responsible for every particular thing. Pamela does not and cannot lose her property to the failure of the school, because she has formed a partnership with the School Board of Education. Both are responsible for their actions. The life of PAS is unlimited. If the Pamela were to suddenly pass away, retire, or lose her position as the head of the school; the school would not be destroyed and the name Pacific American School would not be gone either. Instead, a new head of the school is hired and the school continues to function as long as the positions of the staff can be replaced. I chose a sole proprietorship because Pamela acts like she runs this school on her own. Advantages over other business organizations are having a limited liability and an unlimited life. There are no disadvantages. And if I were to start my own I would choose the same organization, because as stated before, limited liability, unlimited life.
